Barista Jam at Press Coffee
Last weekend, I attended a Barista Jam at Press Coffee over in Scottsdale. The shop owner wants to increase the quality of specialty coffee in the Valley. He invited baristas and coffee "people" to come to his shop to hang out. They provided food, a keg of beer, sodas and lots of coffee. I met a lot of people and generally had fun.
Press Coffee is starting to roast their own coffee. Currently, they are using a Behmor. They have purchased a Provat and will be opening a new roastery in about 60 days. They had a bag of Ethiopian coffee that they were roasting.
